Kerry Among Counties With Rise In COVID-19 Cases Reported This Evening

KERRY was among the counties seeing an increase   in COVID-19 cases reported over the past 24 hours.

Its total number since the start of the pandemic officially stands at 340, but this is likely to rise tomorrow.

102 new cases over the past 24 hours were confirmed nationally by the National Public Health Emergency Team (NPHET) this evening.

56 are in Dublin, 11 in Leitrim, 6 in Galway and 29 cases are spread between Carlow, Cavan, Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Longford, Louth, Mayo, Meath, Monaghan, Offaly, Tipperary, Westmeath and Wexford.

The number of people who have tested positive for the virus in the Republic of Ireland so far, now stands at 29,774.

There were no additional deaths from the virus reported this evening in Ireland.  The total number of people who have died after contracting COVID-19 is 1,777.
