Kerry Badminton Swings into action
Saturday last, the 4th of November was host to the first juvenile competition of the 2023/2024 season.
The competition was held in the Killarney Sports and Leisure Centre and was a huge success. With over 160 kids in attendance, it was the first competition of the year and is known as the fun competition to get everyone back into the swing of things.
All of the kids get drawn with a different partner and they doubles together to find a winner in each age group.
It was great to see the excitement the kids held to get back into playing. A big thanks must be sent out to all those that volunteered their time on a Saturday to run the competition and also a big thanks to Siobhan and Craig from Yonex for setting up shop and supplying many of the prizes for the winners on the day.
It was great to give people the opportunity to get some badminton equipment so that they are ready for the year ahead.

Irish Masters Select Team Success
A big congratulations must be sent out to Sinead Galvin from Killarney who was part of the Irish Masters Select Team that travelled to Newcastle over the weekend. Sinead won both the O50s singles as well as the O50s doubles with her partner Jane Orr. Great to see players from Kerry badminton doing so well and bringing home some silverware!
