LISTOWEL-based businesswoman, Lizzy Lyons has been officially announced as a Brand Ambassador for Flogas Ireland.

The proprietor of Lizzy’s Little Kitchen, who recently celebrated the one year anniversary of her café/restaurant in Listowel, has been equipped with a Flogas Ireland demo unit to attend various events across Ireland to showcase her cookery skills and expertise.

Since starting in the  farmers’ market in her hometown in 2014, the Listowel native’s business has gone from strength to strength.

In addition to the LLK outlets in Listowel and Ballybunion, Lizzy has a thriving bespoke catering business which counts the Kerry team amongst its portfolio of clients and plans to open in a third location are underway.

She has a regular cookery slot on TV3’s Sunday AM and was part of the cookery demo line up at this year’s Bloom.

Speaking about her new role Lizzy said, “2017 has been a whirlwind so far and I am absolutely thrilled to be joining Flogas Ireland’s team of Brand Ambassadors.  Much of my success to date is thanks to the support I receive from my amazing family, my hardworking staff, my loyal customers and reliable quality suppliers such as Flogas.  I look forward to developing our collaboration in the coming years.”

Lizzy studied hotel management in Cork Institute of Technology and after graduating moved to London and worked in the hospitality industry.  The last position she held in London was catering manager with Universal Music and she attributes her passion for healthy eating, emerging food trends and street food to her time there.

It was always her dream to open her own restaurant and her summer 2015 Ballybunion Pop Up was her first step in the right direction.  Such was its success it remained a permanent fixture during the 2015/2016 off season and earned her a place in John & Sally McKenna’s “Where to Eat and Stay on the Wild Atlantic Way” as well as a best newcomer nomination at the RAI Irish Restaurant Awards.

Earlier this year she launched a series of tapas supper events in her flagship cafe which book up in record time. A collection of ten of her most popular recipes was published by Flogas Ireland last year and marked the start of the collaboration with one of Ireland’s best-known LPG and Natural Gas companies.
