OVER 60 women, men, children and a few dogs, braved the elements and came together to walk 5km in Killarney National Park.

The event was organised by the Kerry Businesswomen’s Network, in celebration of International Women’s Day and in support of Kerry Rape & Sexual Abuse Centre, and the Kerry Women’s Refuge & Support Centre.

The 5km March for Change highlighted the importance of these two essential support services, raising a total of €800 to further assist them in continuing their outstanding work.

Vera O’Leary of Kerry Rape Crisis and Sexual Abuse Centre said; “Thanks to all who braved the elements and turned up this morning to walk 5km. We definitely saw the four seasons during the walk but we kept going as women do! We are so grateful to all who donated. Thanks to Elin and her team for organising the event.”
