The Kerry Cancer Support Group – Kerry Cork Health Link Bus received a very welcome donation of over €10,000 on Monday last from proprietors of Siopa Ceoil an Daingin, Michael and Dara Herlihy and Caitriona Nolan who had organised a fundraiser in August at the shop to benefit the charity.

There was an evening of Irish music, song and dance along with an auction and a raffle at the shop on the Colony in Dingle on August 30. There were many great guests, auction items and prizes as well as refreshments on the night and all present enjoyed a wonderful night’s entertainment.

“Kerry Cancer Support Group would like to sincerely thank the Herlihy family, Catriona Nolan and all of those involved in the fundraiser at home and abroad who generously donated and supported to bring the total raised to €10,680,” said a spokesperson for the support group.

“This amount of money means a great deal to us and goes a long way to helping us to maintain services for our growing number of users. The charity were delighted on Monday when Michael, Dara and Catriona announced that the concert was to become an annual event,” they added.
