Kerry Cases Increase By Four, 255 More Nationally Reported This Evening

KERRY was among the counties seeing an increase in COVID-19 cases reported over the past 24 hours.

The total official number of cases for the county since the start of the pandemic rose by four to 348 and that will increase again tomorrow when this evening’s increase is taken into account.

255 new cases over the past 24 hours were confirmed nationally by the National Public Health Emergency Team (NPHET) this evening.

156 are in Dublin, 22 in Waterford,13 in Donegal, 11 in Wicklow, 9 in Limerick, 8 in Kildare, 5 in Clare and the remaining 31 cases are in Carlow, Cork, Galway, Kerry, Laois, Longford, Louth, Mayo, Meath, Offaly, Tipperary, Westmeath and Wexford.

The number of people who have tested positive for the virus in the Republic of Ireland so far, now stands at 30,985.

There was one additional deaths from the virus reported this evening in Ireland.  The total number of people who have died after contracting COVID-19 is 1,784.
