Kerry COVID-19 Cases Increases By One, 208 More Confirmed Nationally This Evening

KERRY was not among the counties seeing an increase in COVID-19 cases reported over the past 24 hours.

However, the total official number of cases for the county since the start of the pandemic rose by one to 349, to reflect the increase reported Sunday evening.

208 new cases over the past 24 hours were confirmed nationally by the National Public Health Emergency Team (NPHET) this evening.

108 are in Dublin, 18 in Louth, 12 in Donegal, 10 in Meath, 9 in Kildare, 8 in Waterford, 7 in Cork, 6 in Limerick, 6 in Wexford and the remaining 24 cases are located in Carlow, Cavan, Clare, Galway, Kilkenny, Laois, Longford, Mayo, Roscommon, Tipperary, Westmeath and Wicklow

The number of people who have tested positive for the virus in the Republic of Ireland so far, now stands at 31,192.

There were no additional deaths from the virus reported this evening in Ireland.  The total number of people who have died after contracting COVID-19 is 1,784.
