Tralee and District Darts League Update
Semi-finals and final will take place on May 15.
Structure is as follows; first in group one play second in group two and vice versa (first in group two will play second in group one).
Third in group 1 play fourth in group 2 and vice versa. Fifth play sixth in each group. This will determine where teams will play next year division wise.
The fifth and sixth place semi and final will take place in the Slieve Mish the rest will take place in The Huddle Bar. Start time is 7.30pm, it is first to four. After semis there will be a fifteen minute break for finger food etc.
Presentation of trophies will take place in the Huddle Bar.
Following a committee meeting last Friday, it was decided that we would be putting a team in to the Kerry Darts county invitational in the Gleneagle Hotel in September. This event will contain teams from Cork, Limerick, Tipperary and Clare. The team will be picked from the league and trials.
The proposed selection process is as follows; committee would select six players from the league and we would hold trials for the last seven places on a points system with trials in The Huddle Bar, Brosnan’s Bar Moyvane, The New Kingdom Bar Listowel, Stretford End Bar, The Railway Bar Lixnaw, Parkers Pub Kilflynn.
The committee feel this will give everyone a fair shot. The committee would also like to thank all who have taken part in the league.
Starting new leagues is not easy, but the level of cooperation has made this so much easier and we only see this going from strength to strength.
