COVID-19 did not stop Kerry Education and Training Board’s (Kerry ETB) annual Christmas Card Competition from taking place with over 200 entries received from their eight Post Primary Schools throughout Kerry.

However, there can only be one overall winner, and a “merit winner” from each school who will each receive a €20 O’Mahony’s voucher.

This year the winner’s prize was presented by Brendan Culloty of Hugh Culloty Expert, to Marissa Hanley, a Transition Year Student at Causeway Comprehensive School.

Marissa received a Samsung Tablet sponsored by Hugh Culloty Expert, with Brendan Culloty joining Chief Executive Colm Mc Evoy in congratulating the winner Marissa on her impressive card design.

According to Ann O’ Dwyer, Director of Schools, Youth and Music, “every card submitted demonstrated great artistic talent in our schools. We want to thank every student who entered the competition during this festive season.” The winning card was sponsored and printed by Kingdom Printers and will be circulated all over the country as the official Kerry ETB Christmas Card.

Kerry ETB would like to thank again all the students who took part and their Art teachers for their enthusiasm and interest and Kingdom Printers, Hugh Culloty and O’Mahonys who helped make the Kerry ETB Christmas Card Competition such a success this year.

The merit award winners each received a €20 O’Mahonys book voucher and they were;
