Kerry Hurlers Make Ireland’s Shinty Squads For Scotland Games

FOUR Kerry hurlers have been included in the Irish senior and Under 21 squads for the first tests of the Hurling/Shinty International Series involving Ireland and Scotland.

Shane Nolan of Crotta O’Neills and Causeway’s Bryan Murphy have made the senior panel, while Murphy’s clubmate Keith Carmody and Ballyheigue’s Philip Lucid have made the Under 21 squad.

The senior game will take place on October 24 at 2.00pm in Bught Park, Inverness along with the U21 game which will take place at 11.30am.

The return game will be played in Croke Park on  November 21 before the Eirgid International Rules game between Ireland and Australia.

The Irish Hurling/Shinty senior team will be managed this year by Jeffrey Lynskey, Galway and Gregory O’Kane, Antrim.
