THERE’S a strong Kerry connection to a new series beginning on RTE next week.
Glow Up Ireland, presented by TV star, model and influencer Maura Higgins will air on RTÉ2 from 9:35pm on Thursday September 2.
And the first episode will feature a guest judge, Colin Horgan from Ardfert. Also, Leah Clail from Tralee and Niall Casey from Cahersiveen will be contestants during the course of the series.

Glow Up Ireland is a competitive factual entertainment series where ten of Ireland’s best amateur make-up artists (MUAs) are challenged in a range of assignments where they will show off their technical know-how, skill, artistry and imagination.

They will be tasked with creating amazing make-up transformations – all taking place in a dedicated studio space – Glow Up HQ.
One of the ten will be crowned Ireland’s Next Make-Up Star and will win a fantastic opportunity to further their professional career.
The theme for the first episode is fashion and celebrity designer Colin Horgan is the guest judge. Originally from Ardfert, Colin has been worn by Lady Gaga, Dua Lipa, Halsey, Rita Ora, Nicki Minaj and many more celebrities.
Niall Casey from Cahersiveen who is also taking part.
For the first Industry Challenge Colin has chosen ten different looks from his upcoming SS22 season launching 17th September at London Fashion Week and the MUAs must create an editorial look considering the complete outfit and brief which they have been assigned by Colin.
The winning look will feature in a fashion editorial in Stellar magazine and the winner also gets the opportunity to recreate their look at Colin’s studio in Kerry and have it filmed as part of his launch video for London Fashion Week.
