KERRY saw a rise in Garda staff levels in 2015 when more than half of all Ireland’s 28 divisions recorded a fall.
There were 3.4% more Gardaí in Kerry last year, second only to Kildare which recorded a rise of 3.7% according to figures obtained by the Irish Examiner.
Last year the Tralee district was the top ranking area for Gardaí detecting robbery, burglary and theft offences.
The district which includes towns, Dingle and Castleisland has a 56% success rate when dealing with the ten most serious crimes against property.
