Kerry Players Win A Total Of €61,000 In Prizes On Winning Streak

TWO men from Kerry enjoyed a fun Saturday in Dublin bringing home €61,000 in prizes between them on RTE’s Winning Streak show.

Mark Sugrue from Castleisland and Dave Morris from Cromane appeared on the show last night and seemed right at home with Marty and Sinead.

Mark brought a big crew to Dublin to cheer him on and cheer they did when he go off to great start winning an electric car worth €25,000. He eventually ended up winning €8,000 more in cash taking his total prize winnings to €33,000.

Dave Morris, a Dub who is a Garda living in Cromane, also brought a crowd with him and they were delighted to see him win €28,000 for his sister Anne.

Mark has been a barman for more than 10 years and works in Kearney’s bar in Castleisland, a job he has had for about four months now. His boss Betty O’Connell, was among his supporters in the audience.

Mark is one of three children – he has two sisters, Lorraine and Leanne – the son of Maura and Denis.

Dave Morris is originally from Inchicore in Dublin but now living in Cromane. Dave was playing for his sister Anne Morris who couldn’t be there as she had booked a trip to New York at the weekend.

Dave has been living in Cromane for the past 11 years with his wife Valerie and three children Lily, Anna and Jack. He is a member of the Garda Siochana and his beat is the Portmagee and Valentia Island areas.
