‘STILL In The Dreaming’, a new anthology of poetry by Kerry poets will be launched next week.

The title of the anthology ‘Still In The Dreaming’ takes its name from a reference by Kerry scholar John Moriarty who described the county landscape as ‘still in the dreaming’.

The book includes contributions by sixteen poets who were selected via an open-call out and who met during the summer of 2018 to help group-edit the final poems.  ‘Still In The Dreaming’ will be launched at Muckross House on Wednesday, November 28 next at 7pm.

“The evening is very special for everyone involved and for some, this might be their first time being published and that, is a very important milestone for poets who are progressing their career in the field”, said Annemarie Ní Churreáin in conversation about next week’s event.

The Kerry Writer in Residence position is made possible with support of Kerry County Council Arts Office, with the support of Kerry County Council, Muckross House Trustees, National Parks and Wildlife Service, The Arts Council and Creative Ireland.

Kate Kennelly, Arts Officer with Kerry County Council stated, “The anthology is a beautiful production and we want to complement all the poets involved and Annemarie for working so diligently to bring it all together”.
