Some Kerry Properties Make Over Double Their Reserves At Dublin Auction

A BUILDING on Rock Street sold at an auction in Dublin yesterday at its reserve of €5o,000, but many other Kerry properties sold for over double their asking prices.

The building which used to house the Loramar gift shop, next to Linnane’s Bar, was sold at the Allsop Auction in the RDS on Thursday at the reserve price of €50,000.

But there were many other properties sold located all over the county at the auction which went for well over their asking prices.

Kilcummin

The house in Kilcummin that went to auction.

A detached four bedroom house in Knocklebede, Kilcummin was sold for €137,500, far greater than the guide price of €70,000.

Annascaul 1

The house at Annascaul that went to auction.

In Annascaul, a house in The Heights with a reserve of €65,000 sold for €105,000.

Castlegregory 1

The house in Castlegregory sold at auction.

A semi-detached house in Caher Square, Castlegregory was sold for nearly three times the reserve of €55,000, eventually selling for €162,500.

Ballybunion 1

Two apartments at Ballybunion were sold at auction.

In Ballybunion, two ground floor two bedroom apartments at Ocean Suites, with a reserve of €20,000 each, sold for €40,000 and €43,000.

Currow

The house in Currow sold at auction.

A detached four bedroom house in Dromultan, Currow sold at the reserve price of €45,000.

Lispole 2

This four bed house in Lispole sold for €91,000.

There were four houses in Gort an Óir, Lispole, sold at the auction. A three bed semi sold for €62,000, a detached three bed for €75,000, a detached four bed for €72,500 and a similar detached four bed house for €91,000.

Each had a reserve of €50,000.
