Former captain of the Irish rugby team, Carole Ann Clark, will be the keynote speaker at Momentum 2020.
KERRY SciTech and Kerry GAA have joined forces for Momentum 2020, an event taking place at the end of this month at Kerry GAA Centre of Excellence, Currans.
“With almost 70 science, technology and engineering companies in the region, Kerry has huge potential as a target location for talent and investment” according to a spokesperson for KerrySciTech.
“By capitalising on a strong history of success in business and sport, Kerry can emerge as a regional powerhouse, sustaining and growing jobs, driving new start-ups and attracting and retaining talent”.

Now in its second year, KerrySciTech’s flagship event will take place from 6pm on Friday, January 31, at the Kerry GAA Centre on Excellence, Currans, with the theme “Staying ahead of the game,” highlighting the parallels between sport and business.
The event will explore a range of topics, including the associations between enhanced employee well-being and higher productivity, company performance and talent retention.
Headlining this year’s event is Carole Ann Clark, co-founder and CEO of I Am Here and former captain of the Irish women’s rugby team.
Drawing on over 20 years’ experience at global giants such as Diageo and Coca Cola, alongside a top-performing sports career, Carole Ann will discuss the importance of embedding a positive culture around mental health and wellbeing in corporate culture.
A panel of thought leaders from business and sport, including Kerry Group’s Frank Hayes, Salaso’s Aoife Ni Mhuiri, former Kerry GAA star, Aidan O’Mahony, and Jason McGahan, Head of Athletic Development, Kerry GAA, will discuss key issues and challenges facing all organisations as we embrace the new technologies and ways of working that are driving change, not just in the workplace but at the highest levels in sport.
Speaking ahead of the event, KerrySciTech’s Aoife O’Brien said: “The link between well-being and performance has been long established. Research shows that employers who help staff achieve a better balance in their working lifestyle are rewarded with a higher performing and productive workforce – increasing retention levels and attracting new recruits.
