Kerry SFC Schedule To Be Confirmed On Wednesday

Tommy Walsh and Kerins O’Rahillys face a tough tie against Dr Crokes in the Kerry SFC quarter-final.

NOW that the Kerry seniors are out of the All-Ireland championship, the focus returns to the Garvey’s Supervalu Senior Football Championship which is at the quarter-final stage.

The competitions control committee (CCC) will meet on this Wednesday evening to put the finishing touches to the autumn schedule of games.

The CCC already has a provisional fixture list that will see the quarter-finals played on the weekend of October 2, the semi-finals on the following weekend and the final scheduled for Sunday, October 16 or 23, all of course subject to possible replays.

The quarter-final line-up is Austin Stacks v Kenmare District, Kerins O’Rahillys v Crokes, South Kerry v Dingle and Mid Kerry v Rathmore. It’s expected that this will comprise of two double headers in Tralee and Killarney.

The relegation playoff between Milltown-Castlemaine and Kilcummin will go ahead on October 2.

Meanwhile, the Castleisland Mart senior Club final between Austin Stacks and Dr Crokes will be played on Saturday week, September 10th, the Intermediate semi finals (Templenoe V An Ghaeltacht and Desmonds V Kenmare) will go ahead on the weekend of September 25th as will the Junior Premier semi finals between Na Gaeil and Emmets and Glenbeigh/Glencar and Ballydonoghue.

The Junior semi finals between Fossa and Scartaglen and Listry and Beale will be played on the weekend of October 2nd while the Novice Championship quarter finals, Tuosist V Valentia (winners play Ballyduff) and Lispole V Duagh (winners play Cromane) will be played on September 11th. The semi finals of that competition will be played on September 25th.
