KERRY Sinn Féin will hold a convention in Kerins O’ Rahilly’s Clubhouse this evening (Tuesday) at 8pm where a new county councillor will be chosen.
The convention is being held to select a replacement for outgoing Councillor Pa Daly, who is required to vacate his council seat as a result of being recently elected to the 33rd Dáil.
Two candidates have been nominated to contest the convention, Deirdre Ferris from Ardfert and Padraig Sugrue from Ballyseedy. Members of Sinn Féin from the Tralee Electoral Area will vote to decide who will replace Deputy Daly.
