Kerry v Galway Was Second Most Watched TV Programme In 2022

LAST year’s All-Ireland football final was the second most watched TV programme in 2022 according to the viewing figures for 2022 released by TAM Ireland/Nielsen Media.

The Kerry v Galway decider was watched by 872,300 viewers but it was a distant second to The Late Late Toy Show which garnered overall viewership of 1,532,300 back in December.

2022 saw Irish viewers enthralled with national and international sport with nine of the top ten most watched programmes all free-to-air sport.

RTÉ’s GAA Championship coverage saw the national games net 8 of the top 50 programmes, while The Saturday/Sunday Game Live attracted over 1.6 million streams on RTÉ Player during the year.

The Kerry v Dublin semi-final clash was the 16th most watched programme with nearly 590,000 viewers.
