A GRUELLING challenge in Ballymac is back for its second year following  its wild success in 2015.

‘BWildered The John Lenihan Wilderness Challenge’ takes place on Saturday April 30 at 11:30am and they’re inviting people to take part in the battle against nature and the elements.

The challenge, hosted Ballymacelligott GAA Club and sponsored by Lee Strand, is Kerry’s ultimate fitness challenge set in the wilderness of Glanageenty, in Ballymacelligott.

The 7.5km course – with both manmade and natural obstacles along the way – was designed by running legend John Lenihan in conjunction with Joe O’Connor of Nisus Fitness, who is the Fitness & Performance Expert on RTE’s Ireland’s Fittest Family.

Last year the inaugural event attracted 250 brave souls. On completion, participants will receive a finisher’s medal, goodie bag, refreshments and there will be post-party entertainment with a barbecue.

The early bird entry fee is €35 for individual and €120 for a group. You can avail of this offer before midnight on April 11.

Registrations from April 12 on are €40 for individual and €140 for a group. To register you must go to www.bwildered.ie
