Kevin, acknowledged the contribution made by Aidan Kelly who completed his term earlier this year.

“Aidan, recognising the needs of businesses in Tralee, made some difficult and brave decisions during his term to completely change the structure of the Chamber, which has had the effect of making the Chamber in Tralee a much stronger, more relevant and vibrant organisation.”

“I look forward to putting my shoulder to the wheel with the chamber to help it bring to fruition its ambitious plans for Tralee which include the implementation of the Tralee Tourism Action Plan and the formulation and roll out of the Tralee Retail Development Plan, which will focus not only on bringing new retail businesses to Tralee but in particular to re-energising the town centre.”

“I also see it as a key role to ensure that Tralee chamber Alliance works for and supports all the businesses in Tralee and I see a key function in ensuring a 3 year strategic plan for Tralee is implemented and that proper funding is put in place to enable its implementation and to ensure that festivals/events can be held in Tralee on at least a bi-weekly basis.”

Speaking about the appointments, Ken Tobin Chief Executive of Tralee Chamber Alliance said; “These new appointments to the Executive of the Chamber will underpin and support the work being carried out not only by our team in the Chamber offices, but also that of our Steering Group”.

“The steering group of the Chamber is made up over 20 business and organisation representatives from Tralee, and combined with our Directors, new President Kevin, Chair Heather and Secretary Ronan, it gives the Chamber the strength to tackle the issues facing business in Tralee,” added Mr Tobin.

Congratulations to Kevin on his appointment. He’s a great man for the job. I used to work with him when he was assistant manager at Quinnsworth in the Square.
