IT was a very happy Monday for a delighted married couple from Killarney, who popped into National Lottery offices in Dublin today to collect their prize of €207,424.
They won this prize in the EuroMillions draw on Tuesday, March 10. The prize was a Match 5 plus Bonus prize in that night’s draw. They purchased their lucky ticket in O’Connor’s store on Beech Road, in Killarney Town Centre on the day of the draw.
The value of the ticket was €6, and it was a Quickpick selection.
Today’s happy couple, who didn’t wish their win to be a public one, are regular Lottery players. The lucky husband, who purchased the winning ticket, said: “I’ve been playing all the games for years, and I win regularly. My last big win was €250 just before Christmas, so today’s cheque definitely tops that!” he said.
“We’re really boring winners. We’re going to save this money to look after our family. But there will be some treats, and one of them is a looked forward to trip to the Kildare Designer Village on the way home to Killarney, to do some timely designer retail damage! Another treat is a trip to Disneyland in Florida for the family later in the year. But don’t worry; we won’t be flying first class or anything extravagant,” said his wife.
