KWD RECYCLING with support from the Kerry County Council are urging members of the public to take part in County Clean Up Day, which takes place on Saturday, April 2.

This is the fifth year that it has been running, with each year going from strength to strength as volunteers help clean up roads and keep the environment clean for locals and visitors while also raising awareness of littering going forward.

KWD Recycling are asking local resident associations, youth and sporting groups, Tidy town committees, businesses, families or simply a few friends to get together along major routes through Kerry to help keep them litter free.

It’s easy to get involved, and you can register your group on their site County Clean Up where you can order your free “County Clean Up Pack”, which includes Reflective jackets, Refuse sacks, event posters and information on how to organise your group.

For more information you can check out the website or contact 1850 37 37 37 or email countycleanup@kwd.ie.
