Prizewinners in the Phoenix Women’s Centre’s photo competition received their prizes at the Meadowlands Hotel on Wednesday. THREE ladies received their prizes at The Meadowlands Hotel on Wednesday, after their photos were chosen from hundreds of entries in a competition run by the Phoenix Women’s Centre.
The fundraising competition, ‘Woman’s Eye — The Natural Beauty of the Kingdom a Captured by The Women Of Kerry’, attracted nearly 480 entries to be judged by RTE’s Paschal Sheehy and journalist and author Breda Joy.
The standard of entries was amazing and they had a tough job choosing the winners, but in the end, Anne Kelly won first prize of €250 for ‘Moon Over The Paps’, Ann Sheehan took second prize of €150 for ‘At Peace’ and €100 was won by Noreen O’Shea for ‘Mist Over Lake’ which took third prize.

All at the Phoenix Women’s Centre, based in Maine Street, Tralee, thanked the many entrants who paid an entry fee in aid of the centre.
With so many fantastic photos submitted, 50 were chosen as ‘Highly Commendable’ and a virtual exhibition of the entries is planned. They are, in no particular order…
