A SERIES of talks will be held in the Diocese of Kerry over the month of March to mark Lent.
There will be a number of key speakers and events happening all over the diocese during the month in Tralee, Ardfert, Killarney, Listowel, Cahersiveen, Kenmare, Dingle and Boherbue.
Guests from Fr Peter McVerry to Richard Moore will be present at various venues across the diocese.
Next week sees Naomh Bhreanainn Pastoral Area host ‘Wholeness in Christ: Relaxing the mind, renewing the heart’ from Martina Lehane Sheehan at Ardfert Retreat Centre on Thursday March 2 at 8pm.
Other talks in the Tralee area include ‘When compassion leads to change’ from Richard Moore at St John’s, Castle St. Tralee on Monday March 13 at 8pm, hosted by Tralee Pastoral Area.
As a ten year old child, Richard Moore was blinded by a rubber bullet during the Troubles in Northern Ireland. Just as his life emerged as a triumph out of tragedy through his experiences of compassion in the face of challenges, Richard’s founding of the charity Children in Crossfire draws on his vision to work towards building a better world for those caught in the crossfire of global poverty, injustice and inequality. Entrance is free and everyone is welcome!
On Monday March 20 and Tuesday, March 21 the Diocesan Committee for Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation have organised the UN Gift Box at Manor West Shopping Centre, Tralee.
