Library Branches In Kerry To Receive Over €111,000 In Funding

TRALEE Library is to receive over €24,000 in funding as part of the small scale Capital Works Programme in Public Libraries.

In all, over €111,000 has been allocated to nine Kerry libraries from the Department of Rural and Community Development, which has been welcomed by Minister for Education and Kerry TD Norma Foley.

The funds are for public library upgrades and measures to respond and adapt to COVID-19. This includes Department funding which will be matched in part by local authorities.

The libraries to receive the funding are;

• Tralee — Replace door, Install permanent screens & communication system — €24,211.00
• Dingle — Install permanent screens & communication system — €8,000.00
• Castleisland — Install permanent screens & communication system — €15,225.00
• Caherciveen — Install permanent screens & communication system — €7,800.00
• Kenmare — Install permanent screens & communication system — €8,850.00
• Listowel — Install permanent screens & communication system — €13,100.00
• Killarney — Install permanent screens & communication system — €13,100.00
• Killorglin — Install permanent screens & communication system — €13,100.00
• Ballybunion — Install permanent screens & communication system — €4,400.00
• All 9 Branches — Barriers and Floor Signage — €3,325.00
