At the lighting of the Remembrance Tree were Fearghal Grimes, Mari O’Connell, Dr Patricia Sheahan, Kerry Rose Sally Ann Leahy, Joe Hennebery and Deirdre Walsh.
AFTER it was postponed last Sunday thanks to Storm Atiyah, Saturday evening saw the ‘Light to Remember’ ceremony go ahead with a fine crowd present to witness the occasion.
The fundraiser for Kerry Hospice saw a Christmas tree lit up with each light to remember a loved one who has passed away.
MC Deirdre Walsh introduced Dr Patricia Sheahan and Kerry Rose Sally Ann Leahy who both spoke of the importance of volunteerism in the Kerry Hospice.
The lights are still available to buy online until the end of December and are sold by Kerry Hospice volunteers. Each light costs €5 and will shine throughout the festive period.
