Listowel Man Wins €40,000 On Winning Streak

A LISTOWEL man had a good Saturday night when he won €40,000 on the Winning Streak TV show.

 

John Joe Fitzgerald (55) from Greenville, Listowel, chose his sister Carmel Kehoe to represent him on the show. Carmel lives on a farm in North Wexford with her husband, Miley Kehoe.

John Joe has two nephews and three nieces; Aidan, 34, twins Maura and Eileen, 33, Robert, 30, and Emma who is 26. He enjoys art, a hobby he takes part in every Monday at Writers Grove House where he is a resident.

John Joe considers himself to be quite lucky and recently won some money at the Listowel Races. He used to work at Listowel Racecourse, helping out in the jockey’s room. He also worked at a petrol station as a petrol attendant.

John Joe is very excited about the win but has not disclosed any plans for his winnings.
