An replacement day’s racing will be held at Listowel on Sunday.

WITH Monday and Tuesday’s races in Listowel called off due to the weather conditions and its effect on the course, Horse Racing Ireland have announced a replacement meeting for this Sunday.

With seven races on the card, it will get underway at the early time of 12.15pm, so no doubt many punters will be ducking into the bars in between races to watch the Kerry games.

The meeting will close for entries on Tuesday, September 15 with declarations to run to be made by 10am on Friday, September 18. The programme of races will be as follows:

358A4+ Mares M’dn H’dle (2m)
358B6+ M’dn H’dle (2m)
358CLartigue H’dle H’cap (Grade C) (4yo only – 2m)

In addition to the above, at the request of the Irish Racehorse Trainers Association, the conditions for The Clievearagh H’cap S’chase at Listowel on Saturday (Race 259C) have been altered to cater for the horses which are liable for ballot in the Guinness Kerry National on Wednesday. This race now reads as follows:-
