Lixnaw Drama Group To Put On John B. Keane Play

St. Michaels Drama Group Lixnaw will host the play MOLL by John B. Keane.

A DRAMA group from Lixnaw will be presenting the John B. Keane play ‘Moll’ from Sunday March 29 to Wednesday April 1.

St. Michael’s Drama Group Lixnaw will host the play in An Ceolann, Lixnaw on these nights at 8pm with tickets €10 at the door.

The group, which has a reputation for producing and performing great comedies for years, has this year chosen the legendary comedy ‘Moll’. .

First produced in 1971, ‘Moll’ is set in a rural presbytery in Kerry featuring the newly appointed housekeeper who brings a strategic plan to “manage” the parish by her own means using the Canon as an unwitting accomplice but the poor curates are left hungry and suspicious.

This year’s production is directed by Chris Fitzgerald. Chris has starred in numerous acting roles and brings all his experience to directing this year.

‘Moll’ stars Karen Corridan as Moll, James Conway as the Very Rev Canon Pratt PP, Muiris McCarthy as His Lordship the Bishop, Jeremiah O’Sullivan as Father Brest, Gearoid O’Connell as Father Loran, Margaret McCarthy as Mrs. Andover, Frank O’Donoghue as Ulick and Roisin McCormack as Bridgie.
