Local Author Releases Second Book Next Week

A TRALEE writer has just released their second novel described as a ‘a queer dreamlike horror’.

Non-binary writer Kelby Guilfoyle released a debut novel, ‘Poppy’, last July and has followed it up with ‘Bloomers’, a dark LGBTQI+ adventure.

In it, Harper has just turned 17 and she is in love with her best friend. However, a haunting monster is growing and time is running out.

Kelby has performed shows in the past at Galway Fringe, Camden Fringe and Electric Picnic.

Kelby started their journey in their hometown of Tralee, performing plays in local hotels and pubs. They would describe themselves as “a madhouse-flower-princess with a streak of surreal fantasy-land charm.”

The book is released on all major online retailers from February 2nd. Currently available for pre-order and available as paperback  and ebook.
