Local Charity To Benefit From Rotary Club Gala Ball

TRALEE Rotary Club is gearing up for their big event of the year, ‘The Annual Gala Ball’ in aid of a local charity.

A different charity is picked to benefit every year and this it’s Recovery Haven who will receive funding from the €80 a head dinner to be held on Friday, December 4 at Ballyseede Castle Hotel.

The black-tie event night will begin with a drinks reception followed by dinner and music by Phil N The Blanks. There will also be some great raffle prizes also and the night will finish with a disco.

Last year the Rotary Club raised €2,650 for the Kerry branch of Enable Ireland from their gala ball.

Recovery Haven is a cancer respite centre based in Killerisk, They depend completely on charity donations to keep their vital services going.

Their aim is to provide a tranquil place where people can safely access support and information on living with and beyond cancer.

Tralee Rotary Club is a volunteer organisation that raises money for charities and worthy causes in the community.

This Saturday, the club will be collecting around town for ‘The Kerry Rape Crisis Centre’ and in the weeks coming up to Christmas they will be collecting in Manor West for St Vincent De Paul.
