‘DREAM – Hope – Celebrate’ is the theme of the Tralee Area Mission which will run from Sunday, February 26 until Friday, March 3, 2023.
It will be a Mission for the parishes of St John’s, St Brendan’s and The Spa and will be directed by the Redemptorist Mission Team from Limerick.
There will be a comprehensive schedule each day with morning masses and an evening Mission Session in each of the parishes. Preparation for the Mission is ongoing with plenty of participation, creativity, music and drama. Continued below…
There will be a different theme for each day, such as Community, Healing and Reconciliation, Creation and the Environment and Thanksgiving. The most recent mission in this cluster of parishes was in St Brendan’s in October 2012.
“This mission is an opportunity to dream, hope and celebrate…to dream for a better life, to hope in Jesus Christ and to celebrate our faith as a community. It is an opportunity for all of us to renew and deepen our faith,” said Dermot Crowley, chairman of The Spa Pastoral Council.
“You may be a regular attender at Mass and a committed believer, or you may be questioning about what is happening in today’s Church, or you may be lukewarm, disheartened or even have abandoned your faith; whatever your personal circumstances are, a special welcome awaits you at the mission,” said Fr Padraig Walsh PP St Brendan’s.
Details of The Mission will be circulated to all households in the three parishes next February. They will also be available online on each parish website and on www.dioceseofkerry.ie
