Launching the annual Sandra Keane Under 13 tournament.
THE 6th annual Sandra Keane u/13 ladies football blitz, sponsored by Liber House, will take place on Saturday, July 20th at the John Mitchels Sports Complex Tralee with a starting time of 10am.
The tournament, which is run by the North Kerry Ladies Football Board, has been a massive success since it was first initiated in 2013.
Teams taking part this year are; Kerins O Rahillys – John Mitchels – Na Gaeil – Austin Stacks – Ballymac – Castleisland Desmonds – Castlegregory -Dingle/Annascaul – Churchill – Ballyduff – Corca Dhuibhne -Abbeydorney – Killarney Legion – Dr Crokes – Rathmore – Scartaglin.

The original plan was to play it as a small tournament with eight teams in a Tralee venue. But due to its success we had to expand the tournament to 16 teams, with a competitive side and fun side as well.
There are four trophies up for grabs; Cup, Shield, Plate and Trophy with over 300 girls playing football.
Sandra Keane was not only a player, but she managed teams and was a loyal supporter to her club Kerins O’Rahillys until her untimely death in 2007 . The Tournament gives girls plenty of games to clubs from North Kerry and East Kerry.
