WHILE the Easter Tea Party in the Ashe Hotel is sold out, there is still much to enjoy for youngsters at the upcoming Tír na nÓg Children’s Festival this weekend in Tralee.

First up is the free children’s party and puppet show at Caballs Toymaster on Saturday morning  from 10am to 12 noon. This is always a big hit with young children.

Puppet shows are also taking  place at Kerry County Museum over Saturday and Sunday, check out their Facebook page for more details.

The Under 12’s Kids Fun Run in Tralee Town Park takes place on Saturday from 1pm with a warm up with some Zumba with Linda Flanagan, face painting, Easter Eggs, music and few special guests.

It costs €5 per child with registration forms to be handed back to Tralee Chamber Alliance. Hurt though because closing date for entries is tomorrow (Thursday).

The event is supported by Garveys Supervalu Tralee and TraleeOutlook, all profits are going to the Cashel Children’s ward at University Hospital Kerry. There will also be a raffle on the day with great prizes to be won.
