HOT on the heels of the high-profile visit of racing superstar Frankie Dettori to the track in July, the team at Killarney Racecourse has pulled off another major coup for this week’s festival of racing.

Dapper Love Island winner Greg O’Shea and glamorous model and TV personality Yvonne Connolly will be the celebrity judges for the best dressed lady and man competitions on this Saturday, the final day of the four-day festival.

Limerick lad and rugby star Greg (24) became a major media star when millions of viewers watched as he won the smash hit reality TV series with Amber Gill. He shared the winner’s prize of £50,000 with Amber and they have struck up a very close relationship.

Celebrity cook and columnist Yvonne said: “I’m very much looking forward to returning to Killarney Races to judge the best dressed on Ladies Day. Stylish ladies who will stand out for me will wear their outfits with confidence and elegance”.

She added: “I’m looking for individual flair, someone who puts their own stamp on a look without trying too hard”.

Yvonne said she is looking forward to working with Love Island star Greg.

“On the show, he showed us what a gentleman he was and what great taste he has. He has a keen eye and I’ve no doubt he will make a great judge while enjoying what Killarney has to offer,” Yvonne remarked.

Sensational prizes await the winners of the best dressed lady and best dressed man competitions on Saturday with the lucky lady receiving diamond jewellery valued at €1,000 and sponsored by Keane’s Jewellers of Cork, Limerick and Killarney.

A fabulous wrist watch worth €600 – also sponsored by Keane’s – will be presented to the man with the best dress sense and there will be super prizes also for the runners-up in both competitions. Admission prices, deals and details are available at www.killarneyraces.ie
