Man Arrested After Burglary In Milltown Area

GARDAI have arrested and charged a man in relation to a burglary at farmyard in Milltown, on Tuesday, August 4.

At around 12 midday the owner of the property arrive home to see two men loading farm machinery, taken  from a shed, into their car.

The two men abandoned their car and took off on foot. Killorglin Gardai immediately responded and carried out a patrol of the area. One of the men, aged in his 30s, was arrested a short distance away from the farmyard.

The second man is still being sought by Gardaí. The car was seized for technical examination. The man who was arrested was detained at Killarney Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 and has since been charged. He is due to appear before the courts at a later date.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone who was in the Milltown area from 12 midday to 1.30pm and who may have witnessed anything, particularly a Blue Nissan, to contact Killarney Garda Station on 064-667 1160.
