A MAN has been arrested and charged in relation to a criminal damage incident which occurred overnight.
The front windows of Dom O’Donnell’s furniture shop in Boherbee were damaged during the incident. A man was arrested a short time later and appears in court today.
Meanwhile, Gardaí are investigating a completely separate public order incident in the town last week, during which another male damaged several cars.
Last Friday evening at 5pm, gardaí received reports that an intoxicated man was on Edward Street being abusive to members of the public.
It’s believed he damaged a number of cars and Gardaí are appealing for witnesses or drivers with dashcam footage to contact them.
They are especially looking to speak to the owners of a fawn-coloured van, possibly a Citroen and a dark coloured hatchback car which were damaged during the incident.
