GARDAI in Listowel are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision in north Kerry last night.
The incident occurred on a minor road near the village of Causeway shortly at approximately 8:15pm.
A male pedestrian (40s) was fatally injured when he was struck by a van. Gardaí and emergency services attended at the scene. The driver of the van, a man in his 50s, was uninjured.

The deceased was been removed to the mortuary at University Hospital Kerry where a post mortem will be carried out.
A report has been sent to the local Cononer and the scene is preserved for examination by Garda forensic collision investigators.
