THE latest winner of the Tralee Credit Union Car Draw has won himself a 15 year upgrade which will see him ditch his Nissan Micra for a brand new car.
“Any Joe Soap can win it if I can win it!” said a ecstatic Maurice O’Regan who was presented with a brand new Nissan Pulsar from Randles Bros Garage in Manor West outside the Credit Union in Tralee on Thursday afternoon.
The kitchen porter at the Johnston Marina, originally from Knocknagoshel, was grinning from ear to ear along with wife Eileen when Fintan Ryan, CEO of Tralee Credit Union, handed over the keys to his new motor.
Maurice who had been doing the draw for just under a year let out a roar of delight when he found out he won the car while at work last Friday.
“I just couldn’t believe it, it was fantastic. I never won anything in my life and to win a car is amazing,” said Maurice who has two sons, James and Kevin, and one daughter, Joanna.
