TWO men have been arrested by Gardaí in Tralee following a suspected assault incident last night.
At approximately 10.35pm Gardaí were called to the scene of an incident at Killeen Woods. On arrival a male aged in his 20s was discovered unconscious in the front garden of a house. He was taken by ambulance to Kerry General Hospital where his condition is understood to be serious.
Two males, aged in their late 20s and early 30s, were arrested near the scene a short time later. They are both currently detained at Tralee Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice, 1984.
A forensic and technical examination of the scene is underway.
Investigating Gardaí are appealing for witnesses. They are particularly appealing to anyone who was in the vicinity of Kileen Woods at the time of the incident to contact them.
