AFTER a year like no other, the team at Manor West Retail Park are determined to continue as much of their Christmas traditions right through the festive period.

While the Christmas choirs and festive food and craft fairs might not be possible, one thing that was really important not to miss, was the opportunity to support a local charity.

So Manor West Retail Park have announced that the Kerry branch of Enable Ireland is their Christmas charity partner for 2020, with funds raised as a result of donations to the Manor West’s Christmas Crib going directly to the very worthy charity.

Speaking at the announcement, Sean Scally, Regional Fundraising Manager at Enable Ireland stated; “Manor West Retail Park are well known for supporting local charities down the years, with extra special efforts made at Christmas time. Without the support of businesses like Manor West Retail Park and the public, none of what we do would be possible. We are delighted to be Manor West’s Christmas charity partner and we hope that everyone will come and visit this beautiful crib and donate whatever they can. No matter what the donation, we are hugely grateful.”

Speaking on the partnership between Manor West Retail Park and Enable Ireland this Christmas, Derek Rusk, Centre Manager said; “This year more than ever, supporting charities at Christmas time is so important. After the challenging year they’ve had with cancelled events, we want to do whatever we can to show our support. Enable Ireland does such great work for individuals and families here in Kerry and we are very proud to partner with them. We are asking everyone who visits our Crib to donate what they can to this worthy cause and all funds raised will go towards children and adults with physical, sensory and intellectual disabilities here in Kerry.”

Visitors to Manor West Retail Park can support their charity partner, Enable Ireland at the Christmas Crib which is located in the main shopping mall.

Enable Ireland provides services to children and adults with disabilities and their families from over 40 locations in 15 counties.

Covering childhood to adulthood, their teams work with the individual and their family on a plan for each life stage.
