Looking forward to welcoming everyone on September 21st, Derek Rusk, Centre Manager at Manor West Shopping Centre and Retail Park said; “We are lucky here in Kerry to be surrounded by so many great local organisations and clubs and it’s important to show our support and help raise awareness for what’s on our doorstep.

“We can get bogged down with work and life and it’s important to be able to switch off and getting involved with a local club or community organisation is a great way of doing this. There are so many great organisations to get involved with, whether it joining a sports team or community club or volunteering with a local charity. We are very much looking forward to a great day on September 21st and highlighting some of Kerry’s fantastic community organisations,” he said.

One of the organisations that will be exhibiting on September 21st is the Arthritis Ireland Kerry Walking Group.

Speaking on behalf of the group, Tom Barrett said; “The Arthritis Ireland Walking Groups are specially designed for people with arthritis and we are delighted to have a branch here in Kerry. Living with arthritis can often leave people feeling isolated and that’s one of the reasons why we want to encourage those living with arthritis to get involved with the group and benefit from a supportive and encouraging group spirit. Arthritis is all about management and that’s a big part of what we do as a group. We help people to take control of their arthritis by teaching coping skills and pain management as well as sharing advice and support. We are very grateful to be exhibiting at ‘Community on Your Doorstep’ on September 21st and look forward to answering any questions people may have.”

Spaces are still available for community organisations and clubs to attend which is completely free of charge. To book your space email customerservice@manorwest.ie or call 066-7190755.
