The Christmas Food and Craft Fair Weekend has become a special festive tradition for the people of Tralee, where they can sample the very best of local artisan produce and find unique handmade gifts in the run up to Christmas.

Ahead of the exciting weekend, Derek Rusk, Shopping Centre Manager commented, “We look forward to the Christmas Food and Craft Fair Weekend every year here in Manor West Shopping Centre.

The Fair, which takes place on Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th of December this year, is the perfect opportunity for us to show off all the wonderful Food Producers and Craftspeople that Kerry has to offer.

Out of all the fairs we host here throughout the year, the Christmas Food and Craft Fair Weekend is a particularly special one for us, as it really helps everyone feel that festive spirit. It promises to be a fun-filled weekend for all the family and a magical Christmas shopping experience.”

Manor West Shopping Centre will also host a very special visitor over the weekend as Santa will be attending the Fair, bringing with them lots of entertainment including face painting and balloon modelling.

Radio Kerry and Francis Jones will broadcast live from 11am – 1.00pm on December 14th and there will be the chance to win some fantastic spot prizes on the day.

In anticipation of the event Eve McKay from Eve’s Leaves, who will be exhibiting at the Christmas Weekend Fair, commented; “The Manor West Christmas Food & Craft Fair Weekend is such a nice pre-Christmas event for all the family, I would really encourage anyone in the area to come along.

“It’s a great space for us as local entrepreneurs to exhibit our produce and crafts and we’re all so grateful to Manor West for giving us these opportunities throughout the year. The fair is also a lovely day out before Christmas and gives shoppers the perfect opportunity to find that special, one of a kind gift. Most of all, it gives people a chance to feel some Christmas cheer with their loved ones as festivities get under way.”

Parking is free of charge at Manor West, with over 1,000 manned car parking areas over the festive period as well as extra parking opened daily behind Debenhams and beside Woodie’s during peak traffic times. Children will be able to visit Santa and his friends for free every Saturday and Sunday from 12-6pm, right up to December 23rd.
