TWO Kerry players swapped the floodlights for the stage lights when they jammed with local band Q14 to publicise a concert to be held for ‘The Kerry Friends of Melanoma Awareness’ in the INEC, Killarney.

Fresh from All-Ireland success, Kieran Donaghy and Marc O’Se, caught up with the Tralee act at their studio to help promote the charity concert.

“They were great craic,” said lead singer of Q14, Bernard O’Connor.

“We gave Marc a ukulele and Kieran a guitar and they hammered away at it, they also learned a few lyrics of the song and pitched in there as well,” said Bernard.

Marc and Kieran were with Q14 for around two hours as they were also recording promos for the concert for Radio Kerry which will take place on Sunday, October 12.

‘The Kerry Friends of Melanoma Awareness’ are organising a the concert to raise vital funds for Consultant Medical Oncologist, Prof McCaffrey’s Research Fund at the Mater Hospital.
