WITH the cycling calendar in Kerry already filling up fast, Fenit RNLI are asking bike enthusiasts to mark this date into their diary even if it’s a bit off yet.

They will hold their 16th annual cycle on Saturday, May 11. This year’s cycle has two options for cyclists. There will be the traditional 50km route and a new 80km route. Both options will start and finish in Tralee.

“All funds raised form the event will go directly to support the Fenit Lifeboat service,” said Fenit Lifeboat Fundraising Manager Mike O’Connor. “Lifeboat t-shirts will be presented to all participants and O’Donnell’s in Mounthawk will provide refreshments after the cycle. We are hoping to cater for our cyclists by offering an additional extended route this year. You can help by taking part or by sponsoring one of the cyclists or making a contribution on the day which is very much appreciated,”
