AN Ardfert woman enjoyed a night out with her colleagues from University Hospital Kerry on Friday night to mark her leaving for another department in the hospital.
Mary Donovan was a staff nurse in the Coronary Care Unit and Skellig Ward for the past 15 years, but she is now moving to become a Clinical Nurse Specialist for Stroke patients.
“I’ll miss the girls, but I’m also looking forward to the new challenge,” said Mary, who was joined by around 15 nurses from the ward for a night out in Chez Christophe on Courthouse Lane.
Mary is clearly a very popular member of staff, as the nurses made a special presentation, paid heartfelt tributes to her and wished her well in her new role.
