MY first week on RTE’s Today show was some experience. Walking into the studio was all a bit mad.
To be part of a set that you’re used to looking at at home with a cuppa in your hand was strange to say the least.
Now from the minute I entered the RTE studio every single person I met went out if their way to make me feel welcome.
Maura Derrane asked did I want a cup of tea. The rehearsal was good at calming me down what. I was sitting in the green room feeling ok when they said “we’ll mike you up next Mary”.
That was it! My knees were knocking and I thought my heart would be part of the cooking demo. Just before showtime Dáithí gave me a wink as if to say you can do it.
I was very nervous at the start but I got going towards the end. I feel more relaxed about this week and I am doing a makeup demo for youngblood Ireland.
It will take time to get into this TV thing and I am so far out of my comfort zone that I am meeting myself on the way back.
The support from Kerry people has been amazing. The pride that one of their own is doing it has been the nicest feeling. So onwards and upwards.

Highlighter – illuminates and enhances. Apply the highlighter above the cheekbones and down the bridge of the nose.
Blusher – apply from the apple if the cheek and upwards. RRP – €25.50.
The nude sensation foundation is very light and gives and instant radiance and suits all skin types. RRP – €23.25.
My favourite of the new collection is the corrector concealer palette. One is for dark circles and in the colour wheel has a highlighter and a concealer.
The anti-dullness is if the skin is not looking peachy, this takes the Greg tones out of your skin and also has a concealer and highlighter. RRP is €21.25.
