“It seemed to stay there for hours but in reality it was only a few minutes. Then the following day it returned,” he said.

“If I had a shotgun I’d have blown it out of the sky. I don’t like being spied on and I definitely don’t agree with them being allowed hover over private houses so I’d like to find out what the rules are.”

The motion was seconded and the local authority will write to the Aviation Authority.

  1. Drones (multicopters) small UAV’s are to be flown within line of sight, not more than 300 meters from pilot. Should be a minimum of 80 feet in the air. Should not be flown over people (within 30 meters in any direction of people). Should not be flown in built up areas. Private places should be avoided (not a requirement – recomendation). 80 FEET IS DEEMED ENOUGH FOR PRIVACY. Terchnically we dont own the airspace above 1 inch of our property. Grey area. So a lot of common sence is required ona sides. By the eay if you shot the drone out of the sky you would be breaking the law and could find the remote pilot was nog. He may be but, the might be theimit of his range and most drones will hover for 30 sec to 2 mins forost dignal before auto return to home is engaged.. i gave been flying drones since 2015 and am still learning.
