The competition will take place from the 3rd to the 6th of July on Kerry beaches.  There are 6 members on each team of Men, Ladies, Under 16s and Under 21s. Each individual on the team will have gone through a qualification process to earn their place on the team. These qualifiers take place prior to the event, and usually start a year in advance.

The competitions for this year’s event are scheduled to take place on Rossbeigh on Friday 5th and Inch on Saturday 6th from 10 am till 3pm each day.

During the completion, the fish lengths are recorded and all fish are released back into the sea, and the most successful anglers earn points for their country. After the two days the scores are calculated and the results are given out at a ceremony back at headquarters in the Tralee hotel.
